I never imagined the English Channel being so beautiful. This is the coast of Folkestone, viewing from above. It's funny, my friend and I later were walking down along the beach, but from this view (which we saw first) we thought it was a sandy beach. We couldn't have been further from the truth, as we made our way down to a rocky beach. Still beautiful nonetheless.
One day I hope to live near water, there is something about listening to the sound of the waves that is soothing. Water is part of our every day life.. we need it to live, but when you have a lake worth of water to view, who wouldn't take a photo of it. Water is captivating to many people. It's amazing how different all waterscapes can be.
At the end of our hike at Johnston Canyons we were rewarded with a beautiful view of the upper falls. What happened after was the true surprise. As I was taking photos my friend engaged in a secret conversation with a complete stranger. This man was requesting her to use his phone and videotape his proposal! I turned around to all this unfolding. It was amazing to get to share in the strangers beautiful moment.
You'll never guess where this photo was captured! If your guess was Holland (The Netherlands) you would be right. Kinderdijk is the perfect area to go to see windmills in The Netherlands. It is a beautiful area with lots of scenic views. You can even walk through a windmill and see how people use to live in them.
Mountains. Water. Sunset. Medieval Charm. What more could you ask for in a day? Wandering the streets of Lucerne with an ice cream cone in hand was a magical day. We listened to the water crashing on the shores, saw lots of swans swimming and had a mountain back drop view as we strolled the streets. The cherry on top was the beautiful sunset over the Kapellbrücke.
