Sitting on my mother's lap as a child, we would look through her photo albums, one of which stood out for me, her trip to Vimy Ridge. Ever since I learned the history of Wimy Ridge I yearned for the day I could visit the war grounds. I never thought it would be 100 years later!
I had goosebumps while walking the trenches, which would have been the front lines during the war; also while down in the tunnel, just a fraction of what the men were using during the war and not nearly as gruesome. It really is something else, walking through these war grounds 100 years later.
